We raise funds for those who need them most; we also connect and bring the community together.
The ABCC, founded in 1939, is a civil association that coordinates the community’s social, cultural and welfare activities.
The ABCC represents Geographic Districts — from Río Gallegos to Salta — and Affiliated Organisations.
An honorary Executive Committee and the central office in Buenos Aires administer the organisation on its behalf. The committee, districts and central office are responsible for organising events, raising funds and identifying individuals and organisations who need our help. The ABCC has distributed The Bulletin since 1940. Today, it is published four times a year as an English-language magazine documenting the activities of the community.
Who We Help
Whether directly or through the Districts, the ABCC provides funds or products to a wide range of organisations. Some of those who have received our support in recent years are listed below. We also provide direct support to 15 individuals, either directly or through our agreement with the British Hospital.

We raise funds through donations, events and, occasionally, through legacies left by members of the community. Funds raised through donations throughout the year form an important part of the ABCC’s income and are key to our work.
We also welcome donations in kind of products that we can use as prizes at our events. Corporate sponsors generously support the ABCC by advertising in The Bulletin. Several organisations also choose this way to contribute to the work carried out by the ABCC. These include British Hospital, ESAARP, AACI, St Alban’s College, Northlands School, Villa Devoto School, St Andrew’s Scots School, Barker College, International House, Dissident Cemetery (Rosario), Bosques de Santa Catalina Cemetery and British Cemetery of Buenos Aires, among others.
The Anglo-Argentine Society in London and Canning House have also supported some of our projects through grants.
Every donation and contribution we receive truly makes a difference, and we are extremely grateful!
